Bitcoin Climbs 10.02% In Bullish Trade

Bitcoin was trading at $8,792.2 by 13:13 (12:13 GMT) on the Investing.com Index on Monday, up 10.02% on the day. It was the largest one-day percentage gain since May 19.

The move upwards pushed Bitcoin's market cap up to $155.5B, or 57.52% of the total cryptocurrency market cap. At its highest, Bitcoin's market cap was $241.2B.

Bitcoin had traded in a range of $8,607.3 to $8,838.9 in the previous twenty-four hours.

Over the past seven days, Bitcoin has seen a rise in value, as it gained 11.64%. The volume of Bitcoin traded in the twenty-four hours to time of writing was $28.1B or 30.26% of the total volume of all cryptocurrencies. It has traded in a range of $7,486.7808 to $8,838.9307 in the past 7 days.

At its current price, Bitcoin is still down 55.75% from its all-time high of $19,870.62 set on December 17, 2017.

Elsewhere in cryptocurrency trading

Ethereum was last at $267.57 on the Investing.com Index, up 7.84% on the day.

XRP was trading at $0.41038 on the Investing.com Index, a gain of 8.04%.

Ethereum's market cap was last at $28.5B or 10.53% of the total cryptocurrency market cap, while XRP's market cap totaled $17.3B or 6.39% of the total cryptocurrency market value.
