Bitcoin rose above the $11,306.5 threshold on Tuesday. Bitcoin was trading at 11,306.5 by 23:52 (22:52 GMT) on the Investing.com Index, up 4.46% on the day. It was the largest one-day percentage gain since July 23.

The move upwards pushed Bitcoin's market cap up to $201.8B, or 67.55% of the total cryptocurrency market cap. At its highest, Bitcoin's market cap was $241.2B.

Bitcoin had traded in a range of $11,237.0 to $12,291.9 in the previous twenty-four hours.

Over the past seven days, Bitcoin has seen a rise in value, as it gained 17.13%. The volume of Bitcoin traded in the twenty-four hours to time of writing was $23.1B or 34.24% of the total volume of all cryptocurrencies. It has traded in a range of $9,562.4033 to $12,291.9395 in the past 7 days.

At its current price, Bitcoin is still down 43.10% from its all-time high of $19,870.62 set on December 17, 2017.
